i am planing to buy a new camera ? plz help ?

i want a new Digital Camera which costs around rs 10000 -rs 15000
the requirements should be met :-
sensor - 8 mega pixel or above
zoom -4x (optical) ( i wouldn't mind a higher zoom)
auto mode as well as fully manual controls
i dont care about the size

reply as soon as possible :)

Always get a Nikon!

I got a pentax recently, and i love it! Really easy to use if your rubbish with technology like me, and has all the fancy stuff if you are good, like my husband!

you really shouldnt worry much
you won't find 8MPx and neither 4x zoom
you will find 10MPx and 3x zoom which is pretty much equivalent, since the mpx make up for the reduced zoom.

don't get casio, don't have manual controls.my samsung does though

You should also get the one with best low light perfformance i.e. highest iso you can afford.

outdoors all cameras are equally brilliant.

What kind of a camera do you have now? If you don't have one then I would definitely go with either a Cannon or a Nikon

Nikon's are also amazing camera's (personally though I prefer Canon's but hey, my dad uses only Nikon's so it really depends on your personal likes and dislikes)

for that amount you can get good quality premium cameras but it is a pity you are not opting for a dslr. Anyway , I would suggest you to go for Nikon or Sony models since they are easy to handle and their pictures are great to watch. Go for sony w270 or nikon p-10 or p-20 models.
