i just got a new Digital Camera from canon, and i recently tried to insert the cd and download the software onto my laptop. when i inserted the disk, nothing happened, so i went to "computer". i found the disk, but when i clicked on it, it gave me a message that said "application not found." is this my fault of canon's fault? should i send it back?

Most of the software that comes on the CDs packaged with cameras is completely unnecessary. Try just plugging your camera into your computer and see what happens. On most recent Windows and Mac computers, a program will open and ask what you want to do with your pictures.
If nothing happens, you may need to download a driver from Canon
